Pontiac

Pontiac is the County Seat of Oakland County and located just north of Detroit. With quick access to I-75, M-59, M-24, Woodward Avenue and Telegraph Road, Pontiac is an ideal location for business, shopping and housing. The city was best known throughout its history for its General Motors automobile manufacturing plants, including Fisher Body and Pontiac East Assembly. The Pontiac Motor Division was the primary automobile assembly plant where Pontiac cars were produced and named after the city.
