St. Petersburg Clearwater International Airport is a public/military airport nine miles north of downtown St. Petersburg and seven miles southeast of Clearwater, in Pinellas County, Florida.  Located ten miles to the west of Tampa International airport on the Tampa Bay, the airport is a popular choice with private aircraft and charter operations. The airport is also the home of Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, the largest and busiest U.S. Coast Guard Air Station in the United States, and an Army Aviation Support Facility operating UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters. This airport features three runways with the longest being nine thousand seven hundred and thirty feet.
